Does this clash?

Love Micah for a boy. Would it clash with a surname beginning with a C; a "Cuh" sound?

Yeah

RedCandyApple · 16/01/2022 14:01

Yep

pinkyredrose · 16/01/2022 14:03

Probably

Luredbyapomegranate · 16/01/2022 16:11

It sounds like it

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 16/01/2022 16:18

How many syllables in the surname?

Synchrony · 16/01/2022 23:22

Depends on the name. Would be ok if something like Chan or Chappell but not Cox or Carr.

sleepypandaeyes · 17/01/2022 12:23

Too syllables beginning with Cuh sound

It's difficult to say without the actual name, but if it is something akin to Chapman, I think it would sound just fine

ElephantOfRisk · 18/01/2022 09:00

So like micah cuthbert or similar?

It's a bit difficult to get your tongue round but not that bad I don't think.

Orangesarenottheonlyfruit · 18/01/2022 09:02

I love a consonant echo, like Bridget Badot or Lily Alderton, I think sounds lovely and is memorable.

DropYourSword · 18/01/2022 09:08

I think the cuh sound might make it sound clunky.

Micah Cunningham or Micah Curtis for example, don't roll off the tongue easily.

sibbys · 20/01/2022 13:01

Yes

Graceyland · 20/01/2022 13:43

Hard to tell without the exact surname but I think it would be ok. I have a similar issues with my own name (but different letter sound) since I changed my surname. I find I have to annunciate a bit more than with my maiden name but otherwise no issues
