Twins (hypothetical!)- to alliterate or not?

Just day dreaming really.

What do you think about alliterative names for twins? Cute? Awful? My favourite boy and girl name both begin with 'R'- what to do? Use them both or go for a less loved name for one of them?

Depends on the names?

I do think it makes a difference if they’re identical or same sex. My two are boy / girl, look completely different, and don’t even go to the same secondary schools. Their names being the same initial makes no difference to their lives.

@Crunchymum Rufus and Rosie are my favourite names!

I've no idea if I'm pregnant with twins or not (had IVF and transferred two embryos, waiting on scan to confirm all is well and how many) so it's entirely hypothetical at this stage but interesting to muse and hear views.

The credit rating thing can be problematic. A colleague was living with her parents and applied for a Laura Ashley store card.. it was refused because the system thought she had applied for one before... it was her sister with the same date of birth and the same address..

Wishing you lots of luck, how very exciting for you.

I adore your names by the way. The alliteration wouldn't bother me at all as the names are quite different despite starting with the same letter.

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Thank you @Crunchymum I'm just praying there is at least one baby in there at the moment 🤞

Honestly go for it, I have twins (boy and girl) in my class at school and for initials we do AA (boy) and AA (girl)
I love the names.

It took a lot of working out to realise we were dealing with twins rather than 2 separate patients

Well you were dealing with 2 patients weren’t you?

Fingers crossed for you OP Flowers
Mine are IVF too and I remember that wait - hope you’re looking after yourself
