What middle name to honour the grannies?

Hello!
We’re due in July, don’t know the sex but if it’s a girl I’d like to honour all our grannies with a middle name.
The grannies were called June, Joan & Josephine. Can anyone think of a name that honours them all at once?!
Thank you 😊

Most people only have 2 grannies @TeaAndStrumpets

Oh I assumed each parent's grannies? So mum has 2, dad has 2? There's either one grannie missing or one extra, depending which generation. Hmm

TeaAndStrumpets · 24/12/2021 14:33

Or maybe 2 were called June. Hadn't thought there might be a duplicate!

JJ?

GoodnightGrandma · 24/12/2021 14:40

Juanephine.

RedRobin100 · 24/12/2021 14:41

JJ

Well the obvious one is Juno because it's a combination of all three.

But I'm not sure that you can honour someone by picking a name that isn't actually theirs and merely features some similar letters. I don't think anyone is going to get the connection.

Theoldcuriosityshop · 24/12/2021 14:49

Juno, it's a lovely name.

astoundedgoat · 24/12/2021 14:50

Juno is lovely, but I agree - you can't use a name that is NOT theirs and say you're honouring them.

You just have to keep going til you've had two more girls.

Also curious about the granny who didn't make the cut! Grin

EvilShmeevil · 24/12/2021 14:54

OP @JNGO21 needs to explain the 3 grannies?
Was there a same sex couple involved?

WhoppingBigBackside · 24/12/2021 15:06

Prince George had 3 grannies, 4 if you count his great-grandmother

MadameFantabulosa · 24/12/2021 15:09

Joanna?

JNGO21 · 24/12/2021 16:04

Thanks everyone! I thought honouring them all in one would be tricky, but thought I’d put it out there in case anyone had a great idea!

Haha! The fourth grannie is still alive and I’ve never met her (husband’s grandma)… so I didn’t think to count her. The 3 I mentioned were all fab women ❤️

Any chance the grannies all had the same middle name?

Ylvamoon · 24/12/2021 16:10

Jone...

WhoppingBigBackside · 24/12/2021 16:16

OK. Baby due in July so unless early cross out June as a middle name

Luredbyapomegranate · 24/12/2021 16:17

@PermanentTemporary

Go a bit casual

Junie Jo-Jo

😂

Juno Joanna Josephine?

Otherwise Jay in the middle as PP suggests

If it's a boy you could go John Joseph and save June till next time

viques · 24/12/2021 16:20

Josanna, or Josanne

GemmaRuby · 24/12/2021 16:22

It’s a lovely thought OP, but I’m not sure how you’d manage to cover all three. Any chance of picking a favourite?

Ceramide · 24/12/2021 17:47

Juphone

Jossbow · 27/12/2021 08:48

Jonana ( Bit like joanna)

thewhatsit · 27/12/2021 09:41

I don’t think you can honour someone by using a completely different name. Joanne is a nice name but doesn’t honour someone called Jean…

I think you could use Jo as a middle name to honour Josephine and possibly Joan but it doesn’t work with Jean. Jean or Jeanie works with Jean only really.

Possibly use Jean or Jeanie and then for a second child use Jo, because that would work for a boy too?

KirstenBlest · 27/12/2021 09:41

Nan/Nanette

KirstenBlest · 27/12/2021 09:42

Grania

Can you use a surname? If you are using your DH name that's one covered, Then use the other name/s as middle names.
