Penelope - ok but too long
Mary - like
Robin - ok but a bit too unisex

Wilfred - something or someone puts me off it
Rex - ok but it's a bit of a dog's name
Arthur - very popular

maryzx · 17/12/2021 19:03

Beau is nice. Wilfred is quite sweet.

Not Archie!

I don't have any strong feelings about the girls' name selection, but I also thought the female form of Robin was Robyn.

Merry, rather than Mary?

siennna · 17/12/2021 19:10

Penelope - dislike, and so common now too
Mary - lovely, sweet!
Robin - nice and strong name, but spelled Robyn for a girl - otherwise she will keep having to explain/correct people she's a girl!

Wilfred - dislike
Rex - sounds like a dog's name to me
Arthur - nice enough
Archie - the Sussexes

KirstenBlest · 17/12/2021 19:12

Archie gets a definite No from me

Invisiblewoman1 · 17/12/2021 19:58

I forgot About the royal Archie

My favourites are Ivy and Henry.

Robin - pretty but I prefer it spelt Robyn
Ruby - pretty nice, a previous poster claimed it was dated yet all the rubys I know are young?
Rosie - overused, much prefer Rosa or Rosemary
Ivy - gorgeous, completely understand it’s popularity
Ava - also very nice and understand why it’s popular
Jasmine - lovely
Ada - meh, but Ida is really nice
Mary - would be kind of refreshing to see the name on a baby, but at the same time it’s a bit boring
Nora - not my cup of tea, hasn’t got a nice sound

Rex - makes me think of a tiny dog
Otto - makes me think of otters
Albert - nice but a bit formal and old fashioned for a baby, Albie is cute though
Maximilian - always thought this name was cool, not a massive fan of max however
Gower - it’s a surname to me
Henry - funnily enough I’m just watching a Henry VIII documentary right now, the name isn’t bad though
Rafi - would have to be short for Rafael, which I love
Rafiq - not bad
Beau - really lovely
