Last name begins with H so no H names.
Preferably no names beginning with L as it’s too twee to have them match.
We have or have had dogs called Rita, Audrey, Sophie and Jasmine so not them. Sophie is one of my all time favourite names, I should have thought ahead before I named the dog.
I’d prefer them not to be one of several in the class, and if it’s long, for it to have a nice nickname.
I love Imogen, Clara, Hannah but we’ve got them already in the family.
Help would be most welcome!

I love Clara but I know you said you can't use it.

I'm Corina, I love my name. It's not "weird" but not very common either. Altho no over ever spells it correctly, I've had lots of variations over the years, but it doesn't bother me.

I like:
Cora
Cara
Catriona

Beatrice
Amelia

Leo and Rosa really work well. I also suggested it up thread but having seen all the suggestions since, I still love it most. Almost wish I had a couple of babies to name now 😆

Driposaurus · 28/11/2021 06:13

If you can’t use Hannah but love it, what about Anna?

Katherine (Kitty).
Tabitha (Tabby).

Honestly, use Sophie if you really like it. I know someone whose cat and husband are called the same name. It’s fine.

Bells3032 · 30/11/2021 09:05

Leo and Maia?

EdgeOfACoin · 30/11/2021 10:30

Leo and Felicity.

Felicity is reminiscent of Felix/'feline' and keeps a subtle cat theme going.

@bollocksthemess

Cora and Phoebe can go on the shortlist! I like Genevieve but I’m not sure what it would shorten too? I think if I called her Sophia I’d be forever wishing I’d just called her Sophie 😂

Leo & Portia
Leo & Aurora (Rory, if you want a subtle theme that'll link them)

Although if you love the name of your dog so much you wish that you'd kept it for a daughter - I'm another saying just use it! My oldest is named after my childhood dog, and I don't regret "re-using" the name at all. Neither does my 25 year old, named for my dog, who is currently contemplating calling her daughter after her current cat!

Switch82 · 01/12/2021 19:46

Eleanor

Rose
Rosa
Nancy (this is my fave)

Leo & Nancy

Hannah (I really like alliterative names)
