Samuel.

brambleon · 03/11/2021 22:04

Samuel is a gorgeous name

octoberfarm · 03/11/2021 23:58

Love Samuel.

Totallydefeated · 04/11/2021 00:02

Conor. Not keen on Ryan and Samuel always sounds old fashioned to me. I’d personally go for Rory, but I know that’s not on your list.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 04/11/2021 00:05

DS2 is Samuel so I'm biased.

I prefer Connor (sorry, gotta be double n for me) over Ryan

Classica · 04/11/2021 00:14

Connor is wronng

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 04/11/2021 00:18

good enough for Connor MacLeod, good enough for me

He never said "There can be only one N"
🤷‍♀️

Classica · 04/11/2021 00:19

fascinating

@cptartapp
"Agree with pp about Ryan. Bad connotations."

Just curious what are the bad connotations about Ryan?

FoggySpecs · 04/11/2021 03:15

Samuel

LostInTheColonies · 04/11/2021 03:46

Samuel

Conor (or Connor)

Ryan

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 04/11/2021 03:56

Well I have a Connor so I'd go with that (one n if you prefer)

Yes it was popular years ago, mine's 26 but I know a few little Mabels and a few 80 year old ones too and no one seems to have a problem with that !

ThePoint678 · 04/11/2021 04:07

Connor

None for me, but it’s true that for Irish people it’s such a common surname it’s probably the equivalent of calling your child Smith as a first name.

I have a Ryan, Connor and a Sam, so I may be biased but I love all three (mine are teenagers and adults now though if that helps)

@FinallyMrsE

that's brilliant!

how long have you waited for those 3 names to pop up so you could post this?🤣

NotAnotherPylon · 04/11/2021 10:14

I like Conor.

We considered Ryan for our eldest DS, but we were giving him a double barrelled surname and the three names together sounded like a firm of accountants!

Stevearnottsbeard · 04/11/2021 11:01

In order of preference
Samuel-I have one so biased
Ryan- was on my list when naming sam
Conor- not a big fan of the name in general so doesn't matter on how its spelt

DoctorBambino · 04/11/2021 11:02

Samuel

Then maybe Connor

Not keen on Ryan

SallyWD · 04/11/2021 13:30

You can't go wrong with Samuel. A good classic, timeless name. It won't go out of fashion. Sam and Sammy are lovely.
