Strong, simple and international boy names

As the title says I guess! Baby boy is shortly to be registered and I can't shake the feeling that we haven't found his name yet. Current strongest contenders are Felix and Hector. We prefer names that are not too popular (that's our discomfort about Felix, as well as the feline associations!) and the name needs to work (be pronounceable at least!) in English and French.

Please send me your inspiration! Thank you!

I think a PP's suggestion of Conrad is great.

Perhaps Martin, if the pronunciation difference doesn't bother you? (I am in a similar position (other country not France) and we thought we had picked names with very similar pronunciations in each language and the differences surprised me - just in the enunciation of vowels - so am less set on 'exact same pronunciation' as i used to be).

Wouldn't Etienne have a similar vibe in French as Stephen does in English - very 'middle-aged man'?

Leon is a big one where I am (other European country).

We focused on having the same spelling (so not Mathieu/Matthew) and not caring about the pronunciation. Works fine - our DSes answer to both pronunciation and themselves use different ones depending on which language they are using (as do I).

Quite a lot of PPs spelling are wrong so do check that! We also avoided having accents to simplify things

Be aware that Guy in French is very old fashion, I certainly wouldn’t use it or pronounce it the French way.
Tom works very well!

As a PP said, if you don't focus too much on the exact pronunciation, it makes things easier. I think there are very few that will be exactly the same in both languages, with equal intonation too

Am I the only child in the room? Oh well, I don't care...how about Balonz?

I have an uncle in France called Victor. He has a son called Luc. I think both of those two names are nice.
