Sophie Vs Sienna

Appreciate they have a different vibe from each other but which one do you prefer?
We like them both.
I've read that Sophie is dull and boring which I personally don't understand this as it's a gorgeous sophisticated name.
I know that Sienna is a bit modern and could date badly but again we really like it.
Any other suggestions would be great thank you x

We'd need to know the middle name to decide.

Sophie Grace

Sienna Wren

Sienna is definitely a name that will date. Sophie is timeless. There are a lot of Sophias around (DD had three in her double-form entry primary school at one point).

Oh I liked Sienna and Sophia. We went with Sophia in the end. It is a popular name but haven't come across any at nursery yet. Actually there is a Sophie in her class.

My dh wanted Sophie but it's very popular here in Scotland more so than Sophia and I thought it was lovely but a bit boring, Sophia is more modern.

I love Sophie but my best friend is called that 😂 I do like Sienna but I know of SO many at the moment, it’s really popular and I don’t think it’ll age well like others have said. I would say Sienna is more popular than Sophia? What about Sasha?

I like both.

We already have a Sienna in the family, so I couldn't use it though.

I am sat here cuddling my baby girl Sienna Lily. It’s such a beautiful name and I’m so happy we chose it. To me it actually feels timeless as I know I’ll always think it is a beautiful name to say. Plus it comes from the Italian city and the colour so it feels classic to me I suppose. I’m biased though!

Sophie is nice but there’s just nothing special about it. I think maybe that’s because I’ve grown up with so many Sophie’s though. We almost went for Lucy actually as it’s a bit more ‘classic’ you could say, but I only liked it, I didn’t love it.

Oh and we are most definitely not downmarket (not that it matters anyways!). Smile

Sirena as an alternative? I knew one, its a lovely name.

I love Sophie and also see it as a lovely and sophisticated name but has got very popular.

Not keen on Sienna.
