Really struggling with boys!

Got 14 weeks left until our baby boy is expected. His middle name will be John after my grandad. Our daughters name is Honor.
Not keen on anything too popular (i work in a nursery and get a lot of Archie, Oscar, Oliver, Jackson etc). Me and partner can't really find anything we really like. I like Gabriel but OH doesn't like nn Gabe, I like Colby OH not keen. I like Asa, again he doesn't like it.
Any suggestions? Ive scrolled and scrolled through name lists but nothing has clicked yet.

@GoodnightGrandma

Luca John
I love Luca! Not sure where its placing in terms of popularity though at the moment! It does flow nicely with John so could be a contender.

Fisher is awful, who wants to be known as Fishy, Fish Face, Fisho or Fish Fingers at school? Also, wasn't one of the Biblical John's a Fisherman? (Thinking of Lord of The Dance "I danced for the fishermen, for James and John"). So not great with John as middle name.

Might he like Archer?

Luckily there are loads of biblical names out there!

Whether 8 or 18 or 80, I would not like to be called Fisher in the slightest or, as is more likely the case, any kind of fish or odour related nickname.

TatianaBis · 15/08/2021 18:20

Who would ever want to be called Fisher?

Rosesviolets · 15/08/2021 18:34

What about doing first name Johnny?

Buttercup54321 · 17/08/2021 00:12

There wont be many called John in his class. Why not have it as his first name?

J3110 · 17/08/2021 21:26

My boy is Ellis. I also love Reid, Remi, Huxley and Hudson x

It’s quite American, I don’t think it would do well in the UK (if that’s where you’re from).

I prefer Fisher to Colby…

So I actually think maybe move John to your first name? It’s such a strong, traditional name but you won’t find many children called John now so it fits Honor.

What about Jago?
Victor?
