Im really stuck on girls names, theres not a single name me and my partner can agree on. I want something unusual but something really pretty and girly. Whats the most unusual names you've heard?

I went to school with a Corinna, a Britannia, a Jocasta and a Richenda, don't hear of many of them. I used to smirk at Britannia because that was my dog's proper name (she was a show dog).

Recently saw on Facebook a baby girl Anozira (Arizona spelled backwards) being announced. It sounds like an antihistamine.

My fave girls' name is Corisende.

My teacher called her daughter BetSam. This is going back to the 80s so a long time ago but is the most unusual girl's name I've heard.

Well it might have been Betsan now that you mention it. I really can't remember tbh, it was mid 80's & I'm an old bat now! Either one of those names, BetSam a or Betsan, are rare to my ears. I've never heard of anyone called that since.

My teacher was Welsh, from the valleys.

@CremeEggThief I was going to suggest Thomasina. I worked with one, known as Tommi, a few years back! I have a cousin called Rena. Pronounced Reena - in Scotland Rena used to be a common diminutive for all names ending -ina, like Thomasina or Georgina so that's where her name came from (but it's her proper name, not a shortening)

Haven't RTFT, so the name might already have been mentioned, but there is a girl called Ocean in DS's school. Such a pretty name and it really suits her.

That's interesting, Laureatus. I think the Rena I knew might have been short for Catherine.
