Love it.

It had served my niece well for 18 years. Her childhood nickname was Lala. The larger was mentioned a few times when she was first born, but it’s really not a big deal.

I think of beer too sorry. It’s Awful imo.

My DCat is Stella, I personally love it

It's okay but I prefer Estelle/Estella

I didn't even think of the beer until someone mentioned it, it's a name, not just a beer. It would be different if you said Budweiser! 😂🍻

And about the beer reference. I used to know a girl call carling and no one really batted an eye lid.... it was just her name and really suited her. But Stella is an actual established name, so the beer thing matters even less.

I uses to really dislike it due to the lager and it being known as wifebeater.

Until last year I watched the fall on BBC iplayer where there is a character called Stella and she was such a strong, fiesty character it made me like the name a lot

@17caterpillars1mouse - there are about 8 series of a Sky programme called Stella, where the main character (Stella) is pretty feisty too.

Love Stella, on my shortlist!!!!! Wouldn't care about the beer reference the name Stella was around long before the drink.

Do people really not have a frame of reference beyond a lager?

Wouldn’t even cross my mind. I think of Stella Gibbons, Stella Tillyard and Spenser.
