Sadie might get pronounced Sad-ie, so it sounds like someone sad.

But I like Edel the Irish version, or similar sounding name. Prefer the eh sound before the Dell sound to ah.. seems to work better.

I loved the same Sadie and suggested it for DD. DH said it reminded him of 'sadist' and then I couldn't put that out of my head. I do much prefer it over Adele though.
