I really need inspiration for girl and boy names that are Scottish or Gaelic everything I suggest to DH is a resounding NO! Your top 3 for each please? Mix of modern and oldy!

Except, this isn't pronounced Rory. It's Roo-ray (and Gaelic).

I would disagree and say that Euan is really popular in Scotland! I know lots of Euans.

The Scottish Gaelic spelling for "Rory" (but it's not really pronounced that way) is Ruairidh. There is a rule in Gaelic spelling that says which vowels should follow and surround a consonant. If you want to use a Gaelic name, it's surely only polite and respectful to follow the correct spelling
