Would have nickname Sammy.

I think it would make a lovely change from all the popular names being used at the moment... I have a Samuel so might be a bit biased

I'm so so sorry but it's one of those names like Deborah/Debbie and Amanda/Mandy that are dated but not 'vintage' and sounds like a male transsexuals idea of a 'real lady' name

Honest opinion, really bland name.

I'm not keen , I know so many but if you do choose it , it needs to be 'Samantha'

Not keen and definitely even less keen on the unusual spelling.

If you mean Samantha I quite like it. Not the way you have spelt it though.

Yes to Samanther the Panther, I always say that in my head when I hear the name Samantha.

OP, Arthur is very popular these days, so to be nice and modern I reckon you should spell it Samanthur.

I love Samantha.

But that's where it ends. I don't care for Sam/Sammy.

I have 3 girls and Samantha was on the list each time. I never actually used it because I don't like the nicknames.

Nothing wrong with the name, but please spell it correctly or your child will have a lifetime of explaining.
