Top of my list atm is Rowena which I’m often told is ‘witchy’ although I didn’t think of it like that, but I definitely don’t mind the association! It’s probably the Harry Potter link. There are plenty of names I think have a witchy feel in look or sound (clunky) but don’t necessarily have any direct association that way. Cordelia, Tilda, Iona, Iolanthe, Ianthe, Evanthe, Evadne, Imelda, Thora, Thelma, Zorah, Thebe, Isadora (wizadora?), Wren, Beulah, Bess(ie), Tess(a), Eudora, Cressida, Ida, Ena, Edwina, Morven, Maev(e/a), Minerva, Ginevra, Inez, Celeste, Ostara, Trudie, Autumn, Ariadne, Hortense, Lunete and obviously Hecate which has to be the witchiest of them all, surely. Star & celestial, nature and names of myth and legend often fit well into this bracket. Jorah means Autumn rain which lends a nice Halloween vibe. Weirdly Hannah springs to mind as I seem to recall this name being prevalent in local folklore stories of elderly ladies believed to be witches. Then there’s also the noun type names probably best suited to middles - Ember, Fable, Salem, Pagan, Sage, Moon. Pagan’s probably a bit much, although I suppose no one bats an eye at Christian.
