FFS, ridiculous typo! Z not A!

LilacSloth · 27/04/2021 20:40

S. Much prefer Lissie to Lizzie.

Honeyroar · 27/04/2021 20:41

Z. How do you even pronounce it with an S without sounding like you’ve got a lisp?

AdaColeman · 27/04/2021 20:49

Z

Even the Queen thinks that is the correct spelling. 👑 👑 👑

ILoveShula · 27/04/2021 20:49

Elisabeth is used in countries where the s in it gives a z sound.

BestestBrownies · 27/04/2021 21:05

Elise or Elisabetta sound much nicer than either spelling with the hard ‘th’ at the end.

RoseMartha · 27/04/2021 21:06

Z

thiswaythat · 27/04/2021 22:02

My mind wants to read Elisabeth as Elsabeth

I vote Z

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 28/04/2021 00:03

Are you in the UK? Elisabeth does have a soft prettiness to it. But I second pp who say that in English speaking countries Elizabeth is by far the most popular spelling - so would give her an easier time not having to always say "with an S". Plus most of the most famous Elizabeth's - historical or pop culture spelt it with a Z , so even in some other countries, people may assume "Elizabeth".

Elizabeth, beautiful name with so many possibilities.

occa · 28/04/2021 00:15

Z only because it would be such a pain to go through life correcting people/having your name spelt wrong.

fairydustandpixies · 28/04/2021 00:32

Z

marialuisa · 28/04/2021 12:57

Elisabeth. Hasn’t caused DD any problems.

ladygindiva · 28/04/2021 12:58

I'm an Elisabeth. Apart from having to spell it very occasionally ( although I'm not that bothered) I love it. My mum chose the s instead of z as she felt it looked softer and I agree.

endoftherow · 28/04/2021 12:59

We did a Z, beautiful name.

StevieNix · 28/04/2021 13:02

Z

HoldingTheDoor · 28/04/2021 13:07

It looks much nicer with a z imo.

Skyliner001 · 28/04/2021 13:19

Elisabeth

MyPanda · 01/05/2021 09:31

It's a tough one! I much prefer Elisabeth - softer and looks less royalist - and that's what I've given my DD as a middle name. For a first name though idk... maybe it's more important to use the most common spelling? Sorry, not much help I know. They're both lovely names though Smile

TurquoiseDress · 01/05/2021 18:50

With a Z

TurquoiseDress · 01/05/2021 18:51

Think with a Z is more traditional spelling

With an S you'll/she'll be correcting others forever!
