April is lovely 😊

sarah13xx · 11/04/2021 21:24

Connie is totally underused these days! They’re both lovely names though so I actually don’t know what I’d pick 🙈

Theforest · 11/04/2021 21:25

Connie.

I was going to be April before my dad vetoed it. Really wish it was April rather than the name of its time.

Goodtohear · 11/04/2021 21:26

Connie.

DramaAlpaca · 11/04/2021 21:27

Connie, but I'd have it short for the beautiful Constance.

I really don't like April.

Headstand · 11/04/2021 21:29

Connie short for Constance is a fantastic name.

BunnyRuddington · 11/04/2021 21:37

April, but spelt Apryl. Sorry but that sounds like the name of a "feminine hygiene" product from the 80s.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 11/04/2021 21:45

April by far - Connie is too informal sounding/nicknamey for me. Constance is nice though.

Ejm02 · 11/04/2021 21:46

Connie!

Member589500 · 11/04/2021 21:51

Connie. One of my favourites. Constance though!

TatianaBis · 11/04/2021 21:54

Connie short for Constance.

Sall23 · 11/04/2021 22:26

Both are quite sweet. Connie is possibly a bit nicknamey, so I'd go for April - sounds fresh and cheerful.

Derrymum123 · 11/04/2021 22:38

April sounds so lovely and understated. Beautiful name

Piccalily19 · 12/04/2021 05:47

I love April. But I wouldn’t use it if she was born in April personally!

KirstenBlest · 12/04/2021 10:46

Connie, short for Constance.
Not keen on April.

Kanaloa · 12/04/2021 11:04

Connie, so pretty and I’ve never met one before.

Violetlavenders · 12/04/2021 11:10

I'm not keen on the potential nickname Con for Constance or Connie.

April is pretty.

Ifixfastjets · 12/04/2021 21:59

April.
Always seems like a happy, sunny, bright sort of name.
Connie is sweet, but always seems more suited to a child than an adult. No logic there, just my feelings.

PollyThePony · 13/04/2021 08:57

Connie is lovely. I would probably just put Connie on the BC. Not mad about Constance.

3AndStopping · 13/04/2021 10:11

Wow, thanks everyone I started this thread then forgot about it. Didn’t expect so many responses, so thank you all Daffodil

Seems quite split really, with Connie coming out maybe slightly on top? Although most people preferring Constance with Connie as NN. I’m not sure how I feel about Constance, I don’t dislike it though.

I think because we have another daughter with a slightly old fashioned name, combined with Connie they might both sound a bit dated. Where as April sounds more fresh? But I do love Connie.

It’s a tough one!

Connie by a country mile.

MintLampShade · 13/04/2021 10:52

I think Connie is a lovely name! I don't really like April though Blush

babynamelover · 13/04/2021 11:28

April by a mile 😊

MrsKingfisher · 13/04/2021 15:14

Connie makes me think of cousin Connie from Enid Blytons Faraway Tree. A lovely name

JemimaJoy · 13/04/2021 15:27

Love both Connie and April but dislike Constance and Apryl Confused
