Thoughts on Zoe? Is it a bit dated / 90s? Do you know any?
Dauphinois · 02/04/2021 21:14
Lovely name. I know one age 12.
Zarinea · 02/04/2021 21:18
Love it. I see it as classical, not dated!
BikeRunSki · 02/04/2021 21:19
I know several in their mid 40s. I was very popular in the mid 70s! I do know a few younger ones, around 10 and a couple in their 30s.

I know a five year old Zoe & a forty year old one. I think it’s pretty timeless.

I love it. Definitely one on my shortlist. A pretty recognised name but not too common either.
MiniMaxi · 02/04/2021 21:22
Biased. Love it!
RiaOverTheRainbow · 02/04/2021 21:22
I like it a lot, though I prefer it spelled Zoë.
2pinkginsplease · 02/04/2021 21:23

Our Zoe is 18 and loves her name.
greendress789 · 02/04/2021 21:23

It does say 90s to me but I think 90s names are coming back. I like the Zoey spelling too.
DramaAlpaca · 02/04/2021 22:07
Lovely. As someone said, it's timeless. It has a nice meaning too.
CarnationCat · 02/04/2021 22:09
I don't think it's timeless. Definitely outdated.
BettyOBarley · 02/04/2021 22:09
I like it! Don't think of it as dated.
There is a Zoe in my 7yo DDs class.
AnneFuckingKirrin · 02/04/2021 22:13
It’s definitely a classic.
I really like it.
RefuseTheLies · 02/04/2021 22:13
There's a Zoe in my 5 y/o daughter's class. I love the name.

Love it, but it should be Zoë really. The dieresis over the e shows that both vowels are pronounced. So Zo-we. Without the dieresis the pronunciation should be Zow (as in low, not cow).
IamnotwhouthinkIam · 02/04/2021 22:20
It's okay, not a particular fave (I tend not to like "ee" ending names though) - but I don't think it's dated, I've met a few of different ages. I personally prefer the sound of Eve which has the same meaning.
IamnotwhouthinkIam · 02/04/2021 22:21
Or Xanthe if you want the "z" and "ee" sounds is also lovely imo.
StarsOnAMat · 02/04/2021 22:23
I know a ten year old Zoe. I wanted to use it if I had a girl but I have two boys.
sarah13xx · 02/04/2021 22:25
Lovely - there’s a Zoe at my school and she’s a really nice wee girl. My best friend growing up was also called Zoe and she was the only Zoe I knew. Very short and simple yet nice!
PandaFluff · 02/04/2021 22:28
@MrsFin I never knew that thank you.
