First and last name flow?

We’re thinking of naming our daughter Abigail, but are surname is Swanepoel pronounced Swan-eh-pole. So her name would be Abigail Swanepoel, do you think they flow together since they both end in the l sound? Or am I just over thinking?

DramaAlpaca · 20/03/2021 18:10

It sounds good to me as well.

Sounds good to me

I don’t think it sounds great TBH, sounds like the first line of a riddle. I wouldn’t do that to her. Sorry....

Sounds fine

ILoveStickers · 20/03/2021 19:58

Sounds fine, yep.

SecondBabyGirl · 20/03/2021 20:00

I find it a bit ‘chewy’. Think you need something with fewer syllables tbh.

Grace
Faith
Poppy

One or two syllables would be ok

Abi (Abbie) goes very well with the surname, as does Gail.

TenThousandSpoons · 20/03/2021 20:02

I like it.

KirstenBlest · 20/03/2021 20:03

Forgot to say, Abigail is really nice.

finallychangedmyusername · 20/03/2021 21:12

It sounds lovely. Abigail is great - it falls into that "sweet spot" of being known/familiar, but not very popular.

Synchrony · 20/03/2021 23:57

Overthinking. It's a nice name.

Onlinedilema · 21/03/2021 09:40

Sounds fine.

TatianaBis · 21/03/2021 11:42

Fine.

amallierory · 21/03/2021 17:19

It's a bit of a tongue-twister. Abbie Swanepoel sounds much better.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 21/03/2021 20:31

It's okay - very slightly tongue twisty as first (because both names are the same number of syllables with some similar sounds), but it's not bad and I think people would soon get used to saying it.
