Archie.

Whatsyourflava · 16/03/2021 11:45

Archie
Love it

KirstenBlest · 16/03/2021 11:46

Not keen on either of them.

Easterbunnygettingready · 16/03/2021 11:47

Prefer Archer..

RuthW · 16/03/2021 12:09

Frederick is lovely. Don't like Freddie or Archie.

MadamMiddle · 16/03/2021 12:24

Archie 😊

PlanetPuddle · 16/03/2021 12:28

Freddie short for Frederick on BC. Allows him to use Frederick and Fred when older.

MintLampShade · 16/03/2021 13:21

Frederick Archer is what DS was meant to be called but by the time we got around to it, they were everywhere. Can't blame though, they are awesome names!! Love both (full names preferred here rather than nn)

Number3BigCupOfTea · 16/03/2021 13:23

Frederick/ Freddie.
I quite like Archie but because Archibald is ludicrous, I would consider Richard / Richie over Archie.

Violetlavenders · 16/03/2021 14:12

Neither sorry.

But I prefer Frederick over Archibald Shock

Oodilallygolly · 16/03/2021 14:22

Freddie if it’s Frederick
Archie if it’s standalone

Cissyandflora · 16/03/2021 14:26

No neither. Too many. Richie is even worse I think. I don’t like of the ie ending names. Slightly worse are the surname names.

Drunkenmonkey · 16/03/2021 14:38

Archie.

KirstenBlest · 16/03/2021 17:09

I like Ritchie even though it's a surname, but as a nn for Richard.

Archer is awful IMO, as is Arch.

Archie isn't too bad, and Archibald is better than Archer, which just makes me think of the novelist, former politician, convicted perjurer, and peer of the realm.

Frederick and Freddie are better, but I'm not keen on Fred.

pinkpinecone · 16/03/2021 17:32

Freddie

Violetlavenders · 16/03/2021 20:02

Richie sounds like a rich guy - he's a Rich-ie Grin

DramaAlpaca · 16/03/2021 21:07

I have a strong dislike of both. Of the two I'd pick Freddie as it's marginally less awful than Archie.

Frazzled2207 · 16/03/2021 21:09

Both sound to me like they should be shortened from something longer. Frederick is nice. Archibald is awful.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 16/03/2021 21:10

Freddie :)

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 16/03/2021 21:37

While I prefer Frederick, Alfred or Wilfred with the nn Freddie; even as a given name I think Freddie will date less than Archie - Freddie just feels the more classic of the two. Also if he dislikes it, he can be Fred or even Ed when he's older, Archie doesn't really have any other options.

MercyBodle · 17/03/2021 02:37

I prefer Archie, though I also don't mind Freddie.

Violetlavenders · 17/03/2021 09:02

Or even Just D Grin

lovelsa · 17/03/2021 12:13

My second boy is Archie. (He's actually Arthur but his brother was only 1.5 when he was born and when he said Arthur it sounded like Archie...so it stuck).

I definitely prefer Arthur, but everyone calls him Archie and it suits him well.
