Please judge my baby names (which is your favourite)

Hi everyone
We’re not sure if we’re going to have a boy or girl yet. I’d love some feedback on our final baby name list- or if you have any suggestions to add. I like slightly more unusual names (literary or a bit hippy vibe) and dh is drawn to the popular top 20 type names but doesn’t like that they’re so popular
so we’re trying to find a compromise lol

Girls:
Juliet
Aurelia
Stevie
Frida
Lara
Silver

Boys:
Jude
Caspian
Evan
Ernest (nickname Ernie)

Girls:
Juliet - fine, don't like Jules
Aurelia - dislike
Stevie - ok as a nn
Frida- ok
Lara - nice but lots of similar names popular
Silver - hi ho

Boys:
Jude - dislike
Caspian - like
Evan - like
Ernest (nickname Ernie) - drove the fastest milkcart in the west

Jude/caspian

Love Jude (have one myself!) love Juliet too

Girls:
Juliet - No
Aurelia - yes
Stevie - no
Frida- no
Lara - no
Silver - I like a PP’s suggestion of Silva, or Sylvie

Boys:
Jude - yes
Caspian - growing on me, so on balance, yes
Evan - yes
Ernest (nickname Ernie) - absolute no

Silver - is this baby number 2? Awful name - sorry.

I love silver although I’d probably end up calling them nn silvie but I tend to like the ie ending names! What about Goldie? I also like aurelia a lot too. I really like Jude for a boy but it is getting more popular if that bothers you. I think you’ve got a great list though, it’s so difficult when you have really different tastes, I can sympathise! X

I like Juliet , Lara is ok and from the boys I like Jude , the rest are awful , particularly Ernest / Ernie .
Others to consider would be Vivienne , Cressida for girls and maybe Fabian or Julian for a boy .

I like all the boys names.

Not keen on Aurelia and I half think that Silver is a joke. Sorry.

Lots of lovely choices there OP. I love Juliet and Frida (DD is Greta, so I quite like the ‘clunky cool’ type of names!), and think Silver is beautiful but I wouldn’t be brave enough to use it as a first name - would make a great, distinctive MN though. Only girls’ name I’m really not keen on is Aurelia, which is too frilly and faddy for me.

Of your boys’ names I’d go for Jude. Prefer Cassian to Caspian. Evan is just ok and I’m not keen on Ernest.

Lara by a mile, I don't like any of the others. Jude for a boy.

My daughter is Lara so that's my favourite girls choice.
She gets lots of compliments on her name and I think it's definitely a name that can grow with her 😊

Juliet - quite like, though dislike Julie as nn. Scarlett and Josephine feel quite similar to me.
Aurelia - pretty, but a bit of a mouthful ad perhaps a little princessy for my taste
Stevie - not keen, though Stevie Nicks is obviously awesome
Frida - like it a lot - underused, reminds me of Frida Kahlo
Lara - ok, bit bland, much prefer Leila
Silver - nope, though love Syvia and Sylvie

Boys:
Jude - liie
Caspian - love Narnia books but not sure about this - Casper is better
Evan - bit middle aged? Love Ioan, Euan, Ewan
Ernest (nickname Ernie) - no - maybe Lawrence / Laurie?

Maybe Caspar? Or Billie for a girl?

On the girls list I like Juliet and Lara. Silver is awful.

On the boys list I like Jude, the others are OK but I don't love them.
