A brother for Oliver and Isaac

Our third son is now over two weeks old and still has no name! We already have an Oliver and an Isaac. Baby has ginger hair and soft delicate features and I’d like a name that reflects this. I liked Charlie but not sure it suits him. My partner likes Elliott but I’m worried it sounds too similar to the word idiot. We both think Samuel/Sam is nice but maybe a little “boring”. Any suggestions? Thanks

What fantastic taste in names you have! I also have an Oliver and an Isaac! Elliott goes really well I think and I’d never think of it sounding like idiot.
If I were to have a third ds I’d probably call him Joseph.

Samuel is great. It was on my list but I had 3 dds and am done. I also like
Elijah
Ely
Ellis
Edward
Edwin- these have the Elliot feel without rhyming with idiot? I also like
Lucas
Benjamin
Joseph I think these have the same feel as the names of your other boys.
Congratulations!

Sam is gorgeous as is Ezra

Eastie77 · 09/03/2021 22:13

My immediate thought was Jack

Samuel is perfect

Laurence?
Caleb?

I was going to suggest Elliot before I read your post! What about Jesse?

Saul A beautiful Hebrew ( l think ) name with a beautiful meaning (longed for).

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 10/03/2021 03:42

It HAS to be Rory or Rufus! Or also Jacob as it works so well with the other names

frogface69 · 10/03/2021 03:58

Rufus. I think it means “Red” .

I have a ds called Oliver who has just turned 18. When I was pg with number 2 when he was 7 I had a girls name sorted but couldn’t decide on boy names as I liked quite a few. I had a dd so never had to choose but if I were to have a boy now I would struggle to choose between Caleb, Joshua and Oscar.

Congratulations on your gorgeous little son op 💙

Rufus or Rowan sound lovely with Oliver and Isaac. And especially suitable for a little red head Smile

ElevenOhFive · 13/03/2021 12:34

Thomas and James go well with his brothers’ names, and Rory (‘the red haired king’).

Tatum1234 · 13/03/2021 12:36

I think Rory would be lovely.
