Thoughts on this girls name.

Would most likely be Floriane Lily (family middle name)

Recently also heard of a baby called Floryn, like the sound but wonder if it's made up as can't find much reference to it.

Thanks

I've never heard of Floriane but I think it's gorgeous. Floryn would be nice except it sounds like the coin (florin), but maybe that won't matter these days.

I know a Floriane (although not in the UK, in France) and I think it's beautiful.

One of my ds's friends is Floriane. It's a lovely ( bourgeois) French name..

Squeakerfoot · 28/02/2021 23:09

I know a Floriane in France too and always loved her name.

nocoolnamesleft · 28/02/2021 23:12

How are you pronouncing that?
Florry anne?
Florry ain?
Floor ian?

DramaAlpaca · 28/02/2021 23:31

What a beautiful name.

Saisong · 28/02/2021 23:32

Dido's name minus the e

Feels kinda French chic and pretty. I'm guessing it's pronounced similarly to the (rarely used in the UK) boys name Florian? Not keen on Floryn though.

partyatthepalace · 01/03/2021 09:13

Floriane - Yes it’s nice - nice variation from Flora

There’s a boys name Florin, so I assume Floryn for a girl is just a variation. They are all basically versions of Flora, so I think I’d just use Florin if I wanted that version for a girl, as the y is a bit fussy. Obviously it’s also the name of an old coin.
