Just that really!!! I am so fed up with my eyes looking dry, I am also prone to bags and dark circles. If anyone knows of a good cream (tried all of Clarins, Olay, Clinique) nothing seems to work!! Thanks

Dry eyes, bags, and prone to dark circles? Possibly in the right section after all - babies tend to do that to you!

Don't know if the OP is still reading this, but I picked up on the "dry". Dark circles are unfortunately mostly "stuff" - genetics and other stuff you can't really change. But dry and puffy may be more. (A) have you had your eyes checked? And (b) it could be (literally) dry eyes. Seeing a lot of this, especially due to lockdown - too many people indoors all the time! You might try artificial tears. If it isn't dry eyes it won't do any harm. But it may solve all your problems.

It depends..do you want a product that's a deep treatment or something you can wear every day and even underneath makeup?

My primary recommendation for dry skin is Vaseline or any petroleum jelly.

Vaseline is a highly effective occlusive.

Occlusives work by creating a protective layer on the skin that locks moisture in and keeps any free radicals from getting to the skin.

Contrary to popular belief multiple studies by dermatologists have shown that it doesn't clog pores.

Cleanse the skin, pat the skin almost dry but not completely and apply the vaseline all over the face or if you prefer just on the dry patches.

As for the puffy eyes it depends how puffy but often this surgery(blepharoplasty) is the only real "fix". However you could try reducing salt intake, getting better sleep and drinking more water.

The skin does most of its rejuvenating and healing when we sleep.

Thank you for the posts and advice! I will try the eye drops, I reposted in style and beauty and others said same. I don’t understand though how eye drops will help the skin on my lids and bags?

Will Vaseline not just make them more puffy? They are puffy from lack of sleep (3 kids, 2 are twins!) x

I have the driest skin around my eyes - Bobbi browns Extra Eye cream is expensive but it is the bomb - much better that khiels avocado.

It’s quite heavy so you might find a hydrating gell is best in the day. Do some googling to figure out if you are dry or dehydrated or both (I am both). Get those things you will with water to hang on your radiator. Wash your face with a flannel to get rid of dead skin.

... Vaseline would just give me puffy itchy eyelids, as the PP says it’s a protective layer, it won’t add moisture. If your skin is v dry I think you will need more than that.

Don’t know if this is helpful - just for the puffiness...
I had blepharoplasty surgery on upper lids, the surgeon insisted I used Witch Hazel on a cotton pad while relaxing to reduce swelling (was around £1.25 in Boots) for a week after. So keen was she, she came out of theatre to make sure I had applied it straight away.

Still keep a bottle in my fridge for such purposes.

Won’t help with the dryness though.

I also apply my eye cream with a large-ish eyeshadow brush - it feels very soothing.
