Monty is the only one I like. Buddy is an elf!

Monty is okay (although not my taste, it's nice enough). Followed eventually by Sonny, then Buddy if I must (Sonny and Buddy are cool nn's but I don't see them as "proper/adult" names, plus Buddy is popular as a dogs name too).

Don’t really like them , dogs names or nn , wouldn’t sound right on a grown man except for Monty with a y .

If I'm being completely honest, Sonny is the only name I actually like on this list. Buddy is fine as a nickname but still stupid sounding. Are you naming a child or a dog? Please don't use Monte, it will get bullied.

Think of when they are an adult. Can't see a sonny or buddy enjoying those names in their teens onwards! 60 yo sonny? I'd be changing my name as soon as legally allowed

Monty for sure. Definitely don’t spell it Monte - it’s not just the spelling - lots of people would pronounce that as Mont. Unless that’s what you want!

If I saw that written down I’d have to ask ‘Do you say that as Monty or as Mont?’ It very unclear as well as looking wrong.

Monte makes me think of the man from Del Monte.
Monty makes me think of Withnail and I, but I prefer it to Sonny or Buddy.

Sorry but I don't really like any of them. Sonny is often used as nn for Conrad, if you wanted to use a full name on the birth certificate.
