Middle names for Indian name Anoushka?

We were thinking of going in one of these directions, either to have a nature-inspired Indo/Western middle name or to have a traditional Indian name.

Nature Inspired:
Anoushka Celina
Anoushka Rose
Anoushka Lily
(Can’t think of any others, suggestions are welcome!!)

Indian:
Anoushka Leela
Anoushka Radhika (I am aware of the double “ka” ending but love the name, it is associated to an important family member)
Anoushka Ria
Anoushka Meera/Mira
Anoushka Parineeti (associated to family member)
Any other ideas are welcome! :)

Anoushka Radikha or Pareenti if it is after a loved family member that will last a lifetime and be remembered. My daughter was named after both her great grand mother’s of her mum and dad. Purely because we loved the names and the emotional attachment was a bonus. It has a lovely feel explaining. Then our other daughters name was based on well we liked the name. Always fades into background when explaining.

If I was to go purely on liking Anoushka Rose.

Anoushka Parineeti is my favourite! From the more Western names I like Anoushka Rose.

As for the unusual middle name, your dd might appreciate and love the link to her heritage and a family member and celebrate that. Most of the people I know who have a middle name from another culture use it widely and love it.

I'm partial to Anoushka Ria...but for reasons Grin saying Anoushka Radhika how it's meant to be pronounced doesn't sound like a mouthful either to me.

Have you thought about shortening Parineeti to Pari if you feel it's too long or doesn't roll off the tongue? My parents almost named me that. Also, if you or DP is Indian then I think given the naming traditions of father's first name as middle name (though I have my mother's name because Dad flat out refused to give me a man's name) then using a female family member's name is delightful imo :)

Anoushka Rose or Anoushka Celina are both lovely.

Noooo to Indira! Unless you're a massive fan of Indira Gandhi!

Thanks everyone for the comments! I have ruled out Indira! I didn’t think of the strong connection initially.
Do you think I should go for a traditional Indian middle name like Radhika/ Parineeti or should I go for a western middle name like Celina or Rose?
We are fully Indian and don’t have any European/ British heritage, apart from the fact that we live in the UK, so would an Indian girl called Anoushka Rose seem odd? I do love Celina and Rose but I feel like it doesn’t fit culturally and may seem a bit pretentious...

Celina is sort of Indian, albeit with a different spelling to the usual Selena/Selina? I definitely know of some Indian Selena's! I much prefer your spelling though it almost makes it a totally different name even though its the same pronunciation!

Traditional Indian gets my vote!

Parineeti Smile

My personal view on middle names is like a pp mentioned. They are there for meaning, not because 'it sounds good' as it will be at rarely used. I think they are there to give the carrier of the name a sense of identity.I works definitely use Radhika if its someone important to you. We named our first son a family name which had died out so he is linked to that heritage. My twins, we let the grandparents on both sides choose the middle name, like a gift. My son knows his grandfather, who is now dead, chose his name which is a lovely link too. My daughter's name, which my mum gave, is Welsh and she chose it because it means love.
