Charlie, too “cutesy” for a man??

I like this name but wondering what it’d be like on a man? DH prefers Alex, I’m not sure that suits a baby/toddler as much!

I know several Charlie's in their 20 and 30s, it doesn't feel cutesy on them at all. They're all Charles officially though. Some have work emails of Charles.Surname@... and others have opted for Charlie.Surname@...

It's similar with names like Christopher and Alexander, some have emails with the full name, others are Chris.Surname... and Alex.Surname.

I think Charlie has been so commonly used for years that it doesn't feel cutesy to me.

DP has an uncle Charlie. It doesn’t seem cutesy on him at all, he’s a lovely man though. I really really like the name.

Namechange fail?

Charlie Hunman seems to cope. He can always go to Charles or Lee as a nn

All the grown up Charlies I know are rather attractive, in a rugby-boy-from-Clapham-turned-financier type way. Ditto Jack and Max.

Fine name imo

Thanks @VanillaAndOrange I feel the same, I’d normally opt for full name on BC but Charles has a totally different feel to the name which I dont like,
