What about Lilias instead. I think it's the Scottish form.

We’re trying to find something that reflects DH’s South African heritage whilst still being recognisable in the UK. Lilian is after the SA activist Lilian Ngoyi

Love Lilian, was on the list for DD1. It can be varied a lot so suitable for all ages.

Love it. And shortened to Lily as an affectionate / small child name makes it perfect.
