Congratulations 🥳
Do you want an "E" name specifically or just one to go nicely with it?

SendHelp30 · 27/12/2020 19:55

I know and Evelyn and Florence
My granny was Evelyn and her sister was Ivy

Thank you @Peachy92 !! I really, really love Esme but DH said he doesn't want another name that starts with 'E', so probably just name suggestions that go well with or are similar to Evelyn as it's quite an old name. I wouldn't mind another E name though! 🙈

Great name I have an Evelyn too! But no sisters we do have a George brother though.......anyway I like
Millie
Grace
Jane
Violet

Cbeebiesrehab · 27/12/2020 20:03

I have an Evelyn (but she goes by Effie) and if her brother had been a girl he would have been Mabel. Other names on our list were:
Annie
Olive
Eliza
Lyra (bit of a wild card)
And we almost named Effie Audrey but it landed the middle spot.

Peachy92 · 27/12/2020 20:13

Esme is sweet! Elsie also suits.
I actually think Emma would go lovely with Evelyn.
They sound cute and classy to me!
But if DH really doesn't go for an E name maybe something like:
Annabelle
Olivia
Jessica
Louisa
Alexis
Phoebe
Isabelle
Savannah
Nevaeh

Our Evelyn has a (Re)Becca as a sister.

JamieFrasersSwingingKilt · 27/12/2020 20:34

Beatrice or Beatrix popped into my head.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 27/12/2020 20:40

Audrey, Hazel, Judith, Miriam

LittleRa · 27/12/2020 20:41

Alice, Charlotte or Lucy

gingeristhenewblack43 · 27/12/2020 20:41

Rose would be my suggestion

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 27/12/2020 20:42

Evelyn was popular previously between 1900's - 1940's; so I'd look at similar period names that have had a recent popularity resurgence like Evelyn - obvious options would be Florence, Beatrice, Ivy, Iris, Violet, Mabel, Daisy, Clara, Ruby, Nancy and Ada.

Or choose classics from the same time (that have only occasionally gone out of fashion) - Lily, Grace, Charlotte, Alice, Sarah, Rose, May, Amy, Lucy, Hannah, Harriet, Laura, Lydia, Catherine, Maria, Josephine, Isabella .

Or go for names from the period the are due a resurgence soon: Lilian, Sylvia, Marion, Hazel, Freda, Nora, Vivien, Constance.

I know and Evelyn!

Her sisters are Odette and Imogen.

2tired2bewitty · 27/12/2020 21:17

I have an Evelyn and reluctantly abandoned Florence for her sister as you could end up with Eve ‘n Flo, which sounds like a Pearl Jam song.

We have a Beatrice instead.

KicksLikeASIeepTwitch · 27/12/2020 21:18

Imogen
Aurelie
Rosalind

HidingInTheToiletFor5minsPeace · 27/12/2020 21:18

No new suggestions but Evelyn is a beautiful name.

CurlsandCurves · 27/12/2020 21:19

Iris
Ivy
Eliza
Adeline

And I do love the previous posters suggestion of Odette.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/12/2020 21:20

Alice or Alicia.
Juliet.
Cecily.
Frances.
