Pronounced A-lay-thea

I love it when it’s pronounced Al-ee-thee-ah, it’s a beautiful traditional name with a gorgeous meaning.

I’ve also heard of Aleteia - Al-uh-Tay-uh which is the Greek version and a bit closer to your intended pronunciation.

Quite frankly I hate it. I'm sure some people will find it lovely (and it's a great name) just I hate names people struggle to pronounce.

Terrible. Like someone with a lisp saying Alicia.

I don't dislike it but it does remind me of someone with a lisp saying Alicia.
Thea is so gorgeous though.

I know two Aletheas. Lovely people, lovely name.

I know one, she’s 4 and lives nearby. In theory I like it but when her parents use her name in the garden I always think they sound like they’ve got a lisp.

Makes me think of a Seat car model.

Anthea has a similar feel /sound but with fewer pitfalls.

I know an Alethea who also goes by Leafy! Small world . . Makes me wonder
