I need inspiration for our baby due next year. Big sister is Eric. DH has already vetoed Lucinda, Nancy, Miranda and Phyllis. Middle name will likely be Ruth

I love Eric. I wanted it for my son but was vetoed. Mary?

Many years ago I knew a pair of sisters called Erica and Heather, it was deliberate because Erica means heather, the mum liked that that they had connected names.

Love Nancy it's my favourite girls name! And goes so well with Eric. Also like Edie and Silver.

Well dd would have been Eric if she was a boy, but was called Florence instead, so how about Florence?

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 11/12/2020 00:04

Eric (even with this spelling rather than with a K) always says Viking to me rather than "old- man trend" (a la Alfred, Stanley etc) so I'd stick with similar short, sweet, popular in Scandinavia names like:
Astrid, Vera, Elise, Alma, Elsa, Ingrid, Clara, Alva, Stella, Alice, Esther, Leah, Frida, Nora.
