Not sure which is my favourite. In no particular order...

Margot
Clementine
Odette
Matilda
Etholle
Frederica

We have a French surname. And if I like these names do you have any other suggestions?

I like Margot and Matilda. How about Celeste (if you can get away from the Babar connection). It's really pretty. Or Madeleine?

I saw a PP suggested Odile. It is pretty in French. However I knew one in the UK who was quite a strong personality. She was unanimously referred to as "Ordeal".

I have lots of French family and friends and I've never heard of "Etholle". As a French speaker I would pronounce it "Et-oll" (to rhyme with dettol ). If you want to pronounce it "Et-oll-ee" then surely it would be spelt "Ethollie"? But it just seems like a strange name to me and not the prettiest.

Frederica sounds more Italian.

If you are British and live in the U.K. I would choose a name that works in English. FWIW my favourite from your list is Clementine.

I like Clementine, Frederica and Odette.

Matilda is too popular now imo.
