It's a boy's name 🙂

Ya-SEEN

ttcAlex · 22/11/2020 14:59

To pp - actually with this spelling it's a Bulgarian name, pronounced Ya-sen ("a" as in bag and "e" as in Ben)

ياسين‎, is Yahseen

PopsicleHustler · 22/11/2020 15:08

Ya sin.

IT'S Arabic. Nice. MashAllah

LittleTreasure · 22/11/2020 15:10

Ya- sun

PrimeraVez · 22/11/2020 15:11

I know two. One Egyptian, one Algerian.

One spells is Yaseen, the other Yacine but both pronounced it yah-seen.

SushiGo · 22/11/2020 15:13

I know a Bulgarian Yasen so would say it that way.

Don't recall any of the kids/parents etc struggling with the pronunciation once they'd heard it once. Lovely name!

Standrewsschool · 22/11/2020 16:07

Yas - sen, the Yas to rhyme with has.

Mummiepig · 22/11/2020 16:09

Yar son

ivfbeenbusy · 22/11/2020 16:15

Like Saying Jason but with a speech impediment

Coldhandscoldheart · 22/11/2020 17:59

If it was spelled Yasin I would say Yaseen probably. Funny what a big difference one letter makes!

bloodyhairy · 22/11/2020 21:23

It's a really nice name. I like it.

yarrow89 · 22/11/2020 21:26

I would say Yay-sen, because it reminds me of Giullermo from Jimmy Kimmel when he tries to say Jason Bourne with a Mexican accent (so funny by the way - )

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 22/11/2020 23:54

Yah - sehn would be my instinct.

youvegottenminuteslynn · 23/11/2020 00:06

Yas-uhn (second syllable the same as I would say the second syllable in 'London')

RonaRossi · 23/11/2020 00:13

Yar-sen

RedDiamond · 23/11/2020 00:14

Yaa - san

HeddaGarbled · 23/11/2020 00:15

Yass-unn, stress on the first syllable.

PetraRabbit · 23/11/2020 12:40

Ya-suhn

Oh good, that is how I would say it! But slowly, with a question mark in my voice.
OverTheRainbow88 · 23/11/2020 13:24

Ya- sIN

ODFOx · 23/11/2020 14:10

Tasing like Jason
I'd pronounce it to sound like Jason with a Y unless I was aware that the family had an accent then I'd ask before trying.
