Call me nuts because I'm still in the 2ww for dc3!
However I've always said if I have a third daughter she'd be called Daisy. Is it too twee though?

I really like Daisy

Babymamma192 · 29/10/2020 11:42

My dd is called Daisy and I love it! It really suits her and its such a pretty name

Triskelline · 29/10/2020 11:56

I find it on the twee/cutesy side. I mean, I see it on a baby, toddler, but even by eight or nine, I think she'd be likely to be outgrowing it.

CharlieBoo · 29/10/2020 22:52

I have a Daisy!! She’s awesome and totally suits her name and not been a toddler for a long time!!

Dugger57 · 29/10/2020 22:53

I think it’s cutesy, but I like it!

WildCherryBlossom · 29/10/2020 22:59

I quite like it and know adults as well as children with the name. Don't find it excessively cutesy.

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have just names their daughter Daisy (KP also has a song about Daisies). This might mean it surges in popularity. Also I think any flower name with Bloom is verging on OTT.

Daisy the cow

YouLikeTheBadOnesToo · 29/10/2020 23:02

I think daisy is a lovely name. Was on my ‘girls list’ when I was pregnant.

alexdgr8 · 29/10/2020 23:03

is the name of a cow.
can't imagine someone doing a serious job called this.

Hailtomyteeth · 29/10/2020 23:06

Traditionally the name of a cow. But one of my favourite cats is called Daisy. Daisy Daisy give me your answer, do.

MrsBungle · 29/10/2020 23:08

Twee cow’s name.

DramaAlpaca · 29/10/2020 23:09

Too twee for me.

Avery7 · 29/10/2020 23:11

Love it, I wanted to name DD Daisy but DH vetoed it because "it's a stripper name" Hmm

gingerbread88 · 29/10/2020 23:12

Love the name Daisy, really pretty without being overly popular

toomanypillows · 29/10/2020 23:12

It is cute, but it absolutely can be a serious name. One of my professors on the post grad course I've just done was called Daisy.

Tally23 · 29/10/2020 23:42

It’s my eldest’s name and was my great grandma’s too. I always loved it as a child. My great grandma was formidable, independent and wise -my beautiful 19 year old Daisy Tallulah is a student midwife and just as strong a woman. Neither of them could ever be described as twee!

Pathetic comments really go find a hobby. Daisy is a lovely name

Daisy is lovely.

TabithaMeow · 30/10/2020 07:40

Daisy is lovely! I imagine a cool, strong little girl when I think of a Daisy... The leader of the gang, always getting into mischief! I know a doctor called Daisy and a teacher called Daisy and never struck me as odd!

Chilver · 30/10/2020 07:42

Nickname - lovely. Given name - not for me.

VenusClapTrap · 30/10/2020 11:36

I like it. I think it’s fine as a grown up name.

dippyegg32 · 30/10/2020 12:07

Thank you. I love it Smile

You maybe need to tell the journalist Daisy McAndrew that she doesn't deserve her job. I'll tell my Oxbridge daughter to forget it while we're at it.
