I love Arthur and quite like Louis. Not mad keen on Angus personally but think it's fine.

I honestly think the rest are absolutely dreadful, especially the two-parters. They sound very try-hard, and I think it'd be tough for anyone to go through life called Denholm Clay. Apologies as I know that must sound offensive, but you've asked for honest opinions.

LOVE Marlowe Scout 😍

For boys, I like Abel, Louis, Seth, and Arthur. I would choose a comination of these - Seth Louis and Arthur Louis, Abel Louis, Louis Arthur, Louis Abel, Louis Seth... I like them in any order!

Other suggestions:

Jude, Caleb, Eli, Elias, Rudy, Casper?

I don't like Kitson, Denholm, Clay, Lennox, or Mason.

TinaTraybake · 27/10/2020 17:39

@Bunnybigears We'd maybe shorten Arthur to Artie.

@TabithaMeow Thank you very much for the suggestions, Rudy is quite nice. Abel and Louis are top of my list but DH's current favourite is Kitson, whereas I prefer Kit.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. It seems quite mixed. I'm not offended and I'm finding this feedback really useful.

Marlowe Scout sounds like a young teenager in south Buckinghamshire.

BarbiesBitch · 27/10/2020 20:26

My favourite is Angus (gus for short)

Cheesypea · 27/10/2020 20:32

Lennox Liam- sounds like a boxer
Abel Liam- sounds like a coffee shop
Sidney Seth- too allerated
Denholm Clay- mills and boon hero
Arthur- nice
Louis-also nice
Mason- jar
Kitson- is that a made up name
Angus- beef burger.

DownThePlath · 27/10/2020 20:34

@Cheesypea is spot on

Feelingpoorlysick · 27/10/2020 20:34

Why such 'out there' names?
Personally the only one I like on the list is Arthur.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 27/10/2020 20:35

Quite outing Tina!

The only names I like on your list are Angus (but only if you are Scottish) and Louis.

TinaTraybake · 27/10/2020 20:51

@MikeUniformMike well we have decided on Marlowe Scout and one day they'll be a teenager, shame we don't live in south Buckinghamshire.

I hope your surname isn't Hutt.

I’m imagining Sidney Seth with a lisp. I know he won’t use his full name often but i think it’s far too alliterated as someone else mentioned

BunAndOven · 01/11/2020 18:10

All of the names come across like you're trying very hard to be different. But then given the other names that doesn't really matter
