DH and I are expecting our DD2. We have a 3 year old named Renata. I am Colombian and he's English.

The first time around it was easy, we both liked the name and there wasn't much of a compromise going on. Since we used DH surname, he agreed on her having a more 'Spanish' sounding first name. This time around he's been leaning more towards English names such as Imogen, Scarlett, etc which I feel would totally mismatch our first daughter.

The only name we both slightly agree on is Carlota but we are not over the moon about it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm running out of inspiration!

I don't think they necessarily have to match, my youngest sister has a very strong Welsh name, but me and my other sister have typical normal English names. And when people say our names together, it works. 😊

Of the child is having his surname then you get the deciding vote. I would go along the same lines as before. I think it seems odd when siblings have very different names. I always assume they are not full siblings only half.

I would use a first name that is Colombian or Spanish not to match your other child but because you're using his surname. It's a nice balance. But something like Scarlett would work fine too if that's what you go for.

How about:
Maria
Samantha
Marina
Noema
Lorena
Carmen
Rosa
Solenne
Violetta
Miriam
Bianca
Marisol
Ines
Daniela
Cassandra
Luciana
Ana
Serafina
Laura
