Any ideas for twins names? Due date soon!

Hello, I am a new Mum and expecting twins on 29th September. And my of a dh shrugs at every bloody name suggestion. Ideas would be handy. We both like Herbie, Edwin ‘Ned’ and Solomon ‘Sollie/Sol’ for boys and Dora, Marie and Honor for girls.

Edwin and Honour are both lovely

I'd go for Solomon and Honor from your list.

Abel, Caspar, Otis
Briony, Hero, Bea

Edwin and Honor work very well together

Solomon is a super name, I would definitely go for that for a boy! Not so keen on the girls names. Dora would probably be my choice were it not for Dora the explorer! Maybe too simple,but I prefer Mary to Marie.

Not Dora (the explorer) or herbie (the beatle) Marie is ok not keen on honor really dislike soloman (sorry!) I prefer Edward to Edwin ... Edward and ottilie Edward and Amelia Edward and Ava ? I do think twins are tricky to name I’d stay away from tweeness rhyming etc as I think it’s really cringey tbh xx But Regardless you should choose what you love especially if your husband is indifferent (I bet as soon as they are born he will be onboard and besotted some guys are just crap at names) congratulations on your twins how exciting ! Edward and Marie

I have b/g twins... they’re 14 now. Congrats! You’re about to be asked “Are they natural or IVF?” nearly every time you go out with them. (People are really rude like that....) I remember standing in line in the supermarket, absolutely knackered and this bloke goes “IVF??“ I said, “Nope... S.E.X.” and he said “You didn’t have to be so rude about it!” 🤣 People are weird. I love all the names you’ve chosen, but wanted to come in to let you know that the first but will be tough, but then it gets much easier as they entertain each other and you can go and pee by yourself, etc. Enjoy your babies!!!

I like Edwin and Theodora, then Ned and Dora as nicknames. I love classic names with sweet shortenings.

I am not a huge fan of Solomon, but I love Sullivan, Sully for short.

I love Dora, would be on our list if we ever are lucky enough. (although it sounds weird with DPs surname.)

I'm not sure about Edwin and Honor as twin names (though I like them individually) too many n's and d's when said together:

Honorandedwin
They don't quite seem to flow.

(I've said lots of the names together out loud and I think it's Edwin/Ned with the 'and' that's the problem).

I love Dora for a girl - you could also do Teodora

Update. It’s decided Isadora ‘Dora’ and Edwin ‘Ned’.
