We had picked out one of these names (and another as the second name) but I just don't feel like I LOVE it. I'm hoping when baby arrives, I will just know which she suits/ or if I really do like it enough to use it. (I like some of these names more than husband! )

Lola
Rose
Rosa
Harriet ( nn Hattie)
Elizabeth ( nn Lizzie)
Eliza
Florence

Names ruled out are Charlotte (nn Lottie) , Isobel and Ada.

Sister is Evelyn.

Any thoughts/ suggestions of names along these lines?

Evelyn is a great name and I really love your list especially Lola, Rosa, Elizabeth, Eliza and Florence. Really great names and I'd stick with one of them. If not...

How about
Clementine Nn Clemmie
Margaret nn Maggie
Felicity
Roxanne nn Roxy
Roseanne or Roxanna instead of Rosa
Jemima
Martha
Mabel
Edith nn Edie
Greta
Margot

Eloise
Lydia
Polly
Constance

I really like Nola as an alternative to Lola. Both are lovely though.

Elise is less popular than Eliza

Kitty
Maisie
Petal

Harriet would be my choice. I think it's lovely and works well with Evelyn.

I do like Elizabeth nn Eliza or Lizzie, but would probably choose to avoid two E names.

Cherrycee · 26/07/2020 23:16

I like Florence and Rose from your list. Personally I would avoid siblings having the same initials, so I'd rule out the names beginning with E.

I think you'll be able to hone in on one name when she's born.

PixieDust1986 · 27/07/2020 09:08

Thanks for these! I do like Matilda but husband isn't keen.
I did consider Polly but soon thought of 'Polly put the kettle on' and Polly parrot etc and now it's ruined for me!

I do like Penny, but not Penelope.

The name we had picked was Harriet Eliza.

I love Lola but husband doesn't. Partly because I taught a little girl named Lola and I adored her.

Being a teacher means a lot of names are ruled for me!

Rosa is my favourite and it goes well with Evelyn. I like all the Rose names - Rosalie, Rosalind etc.

I also like Eliza, Elizabeth and Harriet.

Whatsyourflava · 27/07/2020 09:40

Harriet Eliza is really lovely @PixieDust1986
You've picked a beautiful name there

If you like Lola what about Nina or Willa
I think you should stick with Harriet though xx

Christmastree43 · 27/07/2020 09:44

Harriet or Lizzie 🙂 classic, timeless, feminine but not too girly

bridgetreilly · 27/07/2020 09:50

Harriet Eliza is a great choice. I'd stick with that.

Ditzyduck · 27/07/2020 09:54

Delilah
Beatrice
Nancy
Dotty
Lydia

Out of your list I like Florence and I love Eliza .

Yellowmoonrising · 27/07/2020 11:18
