Thanks for all your help. We have finally agreed on our top three names...

Girl names:
Clara Carter
Claudia Carter
Felicity Carter

Boy names:
Felix Carter
Edward Carter
Fabian Carter

(Yes Casper has gone 😩 DH didn't love)

Please could you pick your favourite names/order them from favourite to least favourite.

We are now thinking of not using a middle name, because who uses them anyway and the alliteration names definitely don't need to be broken up 😍

Only ones I'm not keen on are Clara and Claudia. The rest are lovely.

Only like Felicity and Edward. Other names either don't work with the surname or are just cringey- sorry but Fabian is awful.

I really like the alliteration names, they don't feel cringey to me but appreciate the opinions.

Also re Claudia, I've done lots of research into the name, there was actually a pre-claudus meaning of the name which meant gentle lamb.. a much nicer association ☺️

Clara Carter is my fave though but DH prefers Claudia as he thinks the three syllables sounds better with our surname.

I know it's a bit marmite but I really love Fabian. Edward is an ever-fave of mine too!

Felicity Carter and Edward Carter are the only ones that don't sound like their mother is trying too hard to be a quirky Yummy Mummy.

I like all the girls name but my favourite is Clara.
From your boys names I like Edward best.

Absolutely love Clara, it's short but so beautiful. I'd like Claudia if it didn't remind me of Chlamydia (Sorry.) I don't really like Felicity but there's nothing wrong with it either. Felix is my favourite of your boy names. Edward and Fabian aren't my taste but once again nothings wrong with them.

My votes would be:
Clara > felicity

Sorry Claudia and Fabian aren't to my taste- Claudia just sounds frumpy to me & Fabian I think sounds a bit try too hard posh name.
Think Clara is beautiful so gets my vote though Felicity goes very well with your surname even though the name is a little meh for me personally.

Edward and Felix are both lovely names and go very well with your surname. Depends if you like the nn's of Edward as well though.

Joking aside I really like alliterative names so Clara or Claudia Carter sound great to me. Both lovely names.
