Help me find a boy’s name I love, rather than just like!

Recently found out we’re having a DS. Over the moon but also feel completely stuck on names. I find boy’s names either too out there or completely boring. I can’t imagine finding a name that I actually love. DH tends to join baby name discussions once I’ve got a solid shortlist so doesn’t give much guidance!

Thanks everyone. My list is now longer . Otto is certainly the one that I’m closest to loving, but Laurie has family meaning and it feels a bit more unusual. I’m worried Otto might be about to have a little boom, which is exactly what happened with DD’s name!

We have very similar taste! My DS name is on your list and some of the other names on your list are on mine for number 2! I also like Lucas, Axel, Owen and Leon, in case it helps!
I sadly also don't love any of them yet so if we have a boy we will struggle!

Whilst Otto is getting more popular, it's numbers have been very up and down if you look at the official statistics. It's also still outside the top 200 names so has a long way to rise before it becomes overdone. I doubt it'll get into the top 100 for a very very long time (If at all) if you look at its trajectory.

What approx number is your DD name in the charts @Isthisoveryet And do you find it's now more popular than you'd like in terms of coming across it in everyday life

Laurie is also a GREAT choice!

DD’s name is about 50 on the charts now @Whatsyourflava. Certainly not the end of the world and we still love her name, but definitely more popular than we had hoped!

Otis seems a bit less popular than Otto but I don’t think I’m drawn to it as much. I keep reading returning to this thread and readjusting our shortlist, so many great names.

Laurie is an underused gem! A fantastic name.
