Still undecided...

We went back to the drawing board yesterday to see if we could find any similar names to Ariella, as a backup option in case we go off Ariella...
we found a Hebrew name, Eliana, what do you think of this name?
Do you prefer Eliana or Ariella? I still prefer Ariella because I think it looks prettier and sounds stronger... What are your thoughts?

I love both! Both my DC have Hebrew names, DDs middle name is Abrielle and if I'd have heard of your baby name there's a chance I would have used it instead.

@NuffSaidSam I do love hearing opinions and taking into consideration what everyone is saying but ultimately I think it’s important to not let fear dictate what your final decision will be, that’s just what I believe. I understand there’s a chance of teasing but I’m not going to let that be the only factor in my decision. Opinions do matter to me though, i like being aware of what everyone’s thoughts are.

I know 4 Elianas. The eldest is 18 and my dd's best friend, the youngest is 4. They have a variety of cultural backgrounds. None of them are shortened at all, they all go by their full name all the time.

Ariella gets my vote, but both are really beautiful

I don't think if you go for Ariella she would be teased but also agree sounds a bit prissy/Princessy compared to Eliana which is lovely but of course your baby so go with what you love!

For what it's worth, despite the Elianas I know being lovely, I prefer Ariella as a name.

@Dovefeather thank you for the suggestion! :) I did consider Liliana but I think there are just too many “L” sounds in the name... It’s a pretty name though!

@becca3210 Thanks for the reassurance! I am hoping that the Areola issue won’t be a big deal at all. Kids tease about all sorts of things, it is unavoidable. Eliana is beautiful but I prefer Ariella as a first choice. I don’t like the way Eliana looks written down...
