I like that!

Very similar to my mum’s name pronunciation wise.

MittensTheSerpent · 07/06/2020 19:57

It sounds like someone saying "Nah" really dismissively.

TeddyBeans · 07/06/2020 19:59

Not a fan

missmouse101 · 07/06/2020 20:09

No, not keen at all. Nya is marginally better. I love Nye for a boy strangely though.

babynamelover · 07/06/2020 20:10

Hi I prefer it spelt Naia, it's pretty we considered for #1.

Dreamcatcher34 · 08/06/2020 08:57

Actually, I agree, Naia is a nicer spelling.

I have a uncle called Niah. It can be used for both boy or girl name. Doesn't matter how you spell it, I love it simple and unique.

LotusClover · 08/06/2020 10:01

Sorry, I'm not a fan. I know of a little girl called Myah and I quite like that, but Nyah doesn't look right somehow.

Twisique · 08/06/2020 11:31

How can it me unique if your uncle is called it? @Lozziee8993

Lozziee8993 · 08/06/2020 11:35

@Twisique I am yet to come across anyone with his name until this post, even down to the way his name is spelt. I'm sorry if the terminology of unique offends you. But I was sharing my opinion no one else.

MikeUniformMike · 08/06/2020 12:47

Don't like it.

userabcname · 08/06/2020 13:06

Is it pronounced Ny-ah? If so then I have taught one, although spelled Nia. I'm not a huge fan of it to be honest.

IckleBear · 08/06/2020 14:47

It just sounds like you're saying 'na ja' to me which in German means to agree to something. I just mean it doesn't sound like a name to me. I like Nylah instead.

123Dancewithme · 08/06/2020 19:05

It sounds like how my toddler says no. I prefer Nia or Naia.

MikeUniformMike · 09/06/2020 13:26

How about Naila? I think I got the spelling slightly wrong, it's pronounced Nile-ah
