Favourite and least liked of our shortlist please

Really intrigued to know your favourite and least liked of our shortlist.....
Magnus (Gus)
Rupert (Ru)
Edward (Ned)
Barnaby (Boo)

The exact order you have them in. Barnaby sounds sort of woolly and ineffectual. Magnus (and Gus) lovely, timeless, strong. I like Ru/Rupert, I think it used to be beyond sensible, but it's having a surge in popularity and is kind of rakish. Edward is a blank name to me.

Correction - beyond sensible should be beyond ambitious. Don't know what happened there.

The names themselves are fine. The nicknames are hideous!

Magnus is OK but I prefer just Gus.
Rupert is a wet drip name.
I like Barnaby.
Edward is inoffensive but a bit bleh.

I like Barnaby and Boo reminds me of Boo Radley from To Kill a Mockingbird, so I like that too.

Not a fan of Rupert

Barnaby = worst
Your nicknames are pretty dire though, especially Ru and Boo! Sorry, but you did ask.

Honestly ... not keen on any! But Barnaby would be the best of the bunch in my opinion (without the nickname though!)

Magnus is my favourite followed by Edward and Barnaby.

Worst name : Rupert but it's not a bad name
Worst nickname Boo. If you pick Barnaby definitely pick a different nickname. It would be mean to call him Boo

Think Ned is a chav (?) in Scotland

I.dont understand Gus bei f a shortening of Magnus.

Favourite is Barnaby. BUT if you call him Boo it goes straight to last place! Much prefer Bee as a nickname.
Edward is my least favourite.
All the others I like a lot, equally 😄

Favourite is Rupert, least is Magnus.

If you like Gus as a nn, august might be nice? I really like it but dp didnt.
