What do you think of Lemi as a girl's name?

Hi Everyone

Really struggling to find an unusual name for my girl.

My son nicknamed her Lemi when we told him he was having a sister. We've been calling her that throughout the pregnancy and that name has now stuck!!

Need an objective opinion about the name! What do people think??

Lara means penis in Nepal as far as I know

Lara is a lovely name . Wasn’t Lara a character in Dr Zhivago ?
Fenn makes me think of Fenn Wright Manson .
Lemi reminds me of the little furry critters who jump off cliffs .

Lemi might be unusual, but in a really basic way. What I mean is, it sort of sounds like a load of other fairly dull names, but isn’t even a name. Whereas a truly unusual name is one that exists and is known, but not often used. For example Araminta or Pandora. (These are examples, not suggestions).

I quite like Lemi. Fenn is nice too. They both seem a bit nick namey though.

I don't like Lara at all.

If i met Lemi i would forever mentally add “...from Motorhead” on whenever her name was mentioned. Like your other two suggestions though.

Meant to add i like Finn of Quinn for a girl too

Lara is a beautiful name - makes me think of Lara in Dr Zhivago, one of my favourite films.

Lemi and Fenn are a bit try-hard and not very nice.

Lemi makes me think of lemmings.

What about Leonie? Very similar to Lemi.

I mean it's your choice and unique at least, if your looking for something similar I agree with above remi is a good one

I know 2 little girls called Wren and Fern. They are quite similar to your choices?
Nothing wrong with any of your ideas though - choose the name you love, that my advice!

Makes me think of Lemon and Lemming. It's just not a very attractive sound.
