Please help! We love Freddie, Alfie and Reggie but have friends/family with these so they're all out.

Decided against Harry and Archie (too royal)

We had decided on Mason for months but this week I have really gone off it so we are back to square one

Any suggestions? Smile

Do you like Albie or is thAt too much like Alfie for you. I suppose it depends on Alfie's or how close you are.

Whatsyourflava · 08/05/2020 10:40

I like Mason, sorry to hear you've gone off it.

Yes Rudy/Rudi is a great suggestion

Freddie, Alfie and Reggie are all way too childish IMO. Can't picture them on a grown man.

Fiflowertot · 08/05/2020 11:12

Teddy
Ernie
Bobby

CocoLoco87 · 08/05/2020 11:14

Edward is great because Teddy is a cute nickname for a child, but they can use Ed or Eddie as they get older. Or they can just be called Edward Grin

chunkyrun · 08/05/2020 11:15

Ellis
Franklyn
Jacob
George
Ralph
Jude
Benjamin

I like Mason too. Keep it on the shortlist for when you meet the wee one. You might change your mind later.
Other names you may like Ethan, Caleb or Gaberiel nn Gabe?

Ricekrispie22 · 08/05/2020 11:53

Rory

@firsttimemum79 I really like Jory which goes in line with your -ie endings. It’s Cornish I think

HaveAtEm · 08/05/2020 12:06

Before you decide on a name, check out the recent thread about 'Wet names' OP as this may help you (or put you off certain names!) I don't know how to link threads though, sorry!

daisypond · 08/05/2020 12:09

I don’t like -ie names. They are babyish. If short for longer names, that’s fine, though. Louis- same sound?
Mason isn’t to my taste but it’s better than an -ie name. Taylor? Archer? Fletcher?
