Sonny 5
Reid 3
Albie 4
Heath 2
Noah 1
Nash 6

Halli2020 · 05/05/2020 01:21

Absolutely love Albie in fact it’s on my list to name my child if he is a boy and when I have kids !

DramaAlpaca · 05/05/2020 02:25

We don't have the same taste in names at all.

Least worst is Heath, it's OK.

Sonny, Albie, Reid, Nash, and Noah are equal last. Sonny is a nickname, Nash is a surname and makes me think of gnashing teeth, Albie is twee, Reid is another surname and Noah is the whiniest name ever.

arstyfarty · 05/05/2020 02:31

Noah
Nash
Albie
Heath
Sonny
Reid

babynamelover · 05/05/2020 02:34

I only really like Heath,
Reed spelt like this is okay.
Noah is so overused
Sonny is more a dog's name.
Albie is too nicknamey for me I prefer Albert nn Albie or Bertie.

babynamelover · 05/05/2020 02:35

Sorry forgot Nash really don't like this but I do like Dash as a nn for Dashiell 😃

Seagull94 · 05/05/2020 02:42

I love Sonny, it's on my list Smile xx

GrumpyHoonMain · 05/05/2020 02:43

I like Reid and Noah. The rest are rubbish

Iflyaway · 05/05/2020 02:45

Sonny is a nickname

I know a Sonny, not a nickname.

daisypond · 05/05/2020 06:05

I can’t rate these. Heath is best.
Sonny is demeaning and insulting nickname.
Reid is a surname
Albie is twee and demeaning.
Heath is about OK.
Noah is over 20 years out of date.
Nash is a surname and sounds the same as gnash.

Startingoverat34 · 05/05/2020 06:07

Sonny is a lovely name.... It was top of my list!

Mucklowe · 05/05/2020 06:45

Sonny - absolutely not.
Reid - a verb, not a name.
Albie - like an old man with dementia.
Heath - a geographical term.
Noah - a nothingy sort of sound. Like a puff of air.
Nash - again, just a sound, and not a pleasant one. Gnashing teeth.

My 2nd son is sonny, its definitely not a dogs name, i work with children and was adamant i didnt want him to be oliver T or jacob T, one of 2/3 in a class, also I associated most names with children id worked with also i didnt want any silly made up names. im not sure how much the name has to do with personality but my sonny is 6 now he's very advanced academically and sports wise but also has the common sense of an adult, he is so loving caring and has a lovable cheeky streak, everyone falls in love with him and he suits his beautiful name, i think your names are lovely and if you like it then go for it, as soon as you meet him you will know, ❤️❤️

Herpesfreesince03 · 05/05/2020 07:07

I’ve got a sonny. And it’s not a nickname

Herpesfreesince03 · 05/05/2020 07:08

@daisypond how’s is demeaning and insulting?? Get a grip 😂😂

Herpesfreesince03 · 05/05/2020 07:08

It

littlefawn · 05/05/2020 07:11

I like
Sonny
Heath
Noah

Not as keen on
Reid
Albie
Nash

Sonny is my favourite as it's heard of but usual and would suit any age, Nash sounds a bit too American for me and I'm not fond of the trend of shortening traditional names like Albie, Freddie, Archie etc unless the full name is on the birth certificate and they have a bit more choice when older

daisypond · 05/05/2020 07:14

@Herpesfree
Well, as you clearly seem to think it’s a joke, that indicates a lot. Of course it’s demeaning and insulting to give a human being a non-name, something normally used as a nickname that defines them as a junior, small person in relation to adults for the rest of their life.

xoxogossipgirll · 05/05/2020 07:23
  1. Nash
  2. Sonny
  3. Noah
  4. Reid
  5. Heath
  6. Albie

I really like Nash, Sonny & Noah, I don't mind Reid, Heath is okay but I'm not a fan of Albie. That's just personal taste though, I don't think it's a horrible name or that your son would get bullied for it.

KatherineJaneway · 05/05/2020 07:24

Only one on that list I like is Sonny.

Celticdawn5 · 05/05/2020 07:31

I’d have to agree with @daisypond

TheVanguardSix · 05/05/2020 07:31

I love Sonny. My neighbour has a Sonny and he is just such a wonderful boy.

iano · 05/05/2020 08:28

Op of your choices I prefer:
Noah
Albie (I'd put Albert on the birth certificate personally)
Sonny

Heath makes me think of heathcliff. I'm not keen on that association but that might just be me

Orphlids · 05/05/2020 09:12

I agree with @daisypond on this one. I don’t like Sonny, because of the nickname - it indicates the assumed inferiority of the holder, lacking in age and experience. It’s what fictional policemen say to boys when they clip them round the ear.

Noah is the most mainstream of the names on the list, but I do find it extremely dull, and very commonly used.

There are dozens of Albie’s in my neck of the woods. All look like they’ll be going to prison when they’re old enough.

Nash - never heard of that used as a forename. I’m not opposed to surnames used as forenames, but this isn’t exactly pleasing to the ears. Reid, the same.

Heath I quite like!

VisionQuest · 05/05/2020 09:14

Sonny
Reid
Albie
Heath - 1
Noah - 2
Nash

Really don't like the others sorry! I would rate them all joint last!
