Juliet - dislike and hate nickname Jules
Jemima - love love love
Constance (Connie) - dislike the sound of the name- mixture of constipation and incontinence. Connie is ok though
Seraphina - too frilly - strongly dislike
Tabitha - ok
Eleanor (Nora or Nell) - love love love
Madeleine - love it
Vivienne - love it but think it will likely inevitably be shortened to Viv even if that’s not what you want (from personal experience)
Matilda love love love
Eliza love love love

LotusClover · 26/04/2020 16:27

Juliet - nice
Jemima - not keen
Constance - horrible, Connie is nice though
Seraphina - over the top and pretentious
Tabitha - nice
Eleanor - okay but not my taste, don't like nicknames Nora or Nell
Madeleine - favourite, absolutely love
Vivienne - nice
Matilda - nice
Eliza - nice but growing in popularity

Hope you can narrow it down! Smile

Juliet - Shakespearean. Beautiful. Might be picking up in popularity as I've seen it mentioned quite a few times on mumsnet - but that could just be mumsnet. I personally wouldn't use it, I feel like it's a big name to live up to.

Jemima - Puddleduck. Another lovely name if perhaps little twee?

Constance (Connie) - No real feelings either way.

Seraphina - A bit ott.

Tabitha - Cats, kittens.

Eleanor (Nora or Nell) - Gorgeous but getting a little bored of names starting with El

Madeleine - McCann. A lovely girls name but a bit over shadowed by the missing girl.

Vivienne - Classic, chic. I would use this as a middle name.

Matilda - Lovely

Eliza - Doolittle. Lovely

Anoisagusaris · 26/04/2020 16:29

All nice but Seraphina is a bit ott.

Eleanor is too nice to use either of those not particularly nice nicknames.

Ikeameatballs · 26/04/2020 16:31

Juliet - ok
Jemima - lovely
Constance (Connie) - lovely, nice name across all ages
Seraphina - don’t like it
Tabitha - lovely but I can’t help thinking of it being pronounced “Tabiffa” by someone who can’t say “th”
Eleanor (Nora or Nell) - lovely, nice name across all ages with a range of nicknames
Madeleine - lovely
Vivienne - lovely
Matilda - lovely
Eliza - lovely

MoonlightMistletoe · 26/04/2020 16:32

Juliet- Just reminds me of Romeo and Juliet
Jemima- Not my taste
Constance (Connie) -Love Connie
Seraphina- No
Tabitha- No
Eleanor (Nora or Nell)- Bit boring
Madeleine- Sad association with the name
Vivienne- Old fashioned
Matilda- Love
Eliza- Love the most.

Taddda · 26/04/2020 16:34

I second @Jamiladodger - Very well summarised!

Whatsyourflava · 26/04/2020 16:36

Love Jemima because so underused and lots of nickname options

MikeUniformMike · 26/04/2020 19:05

Juliet - ok, but I dont like Jules
Jemima - like it a lot
Seraphina - no. Awful
Tabitha - not keen
Eleanor (Nora or Nell) - Nell. Nora is awful
Madeleine - ok but I don't like Maddy or Mads
Vivienne - prefer Vivien. Not keen.
Matilda - great but overused
Eliza - ok

userabcname · 26/04/2020 19:21

Juliet - very pretty, like.
Jemima - like.
Constance - dislike, quite a hard-sounding name.
Seraphina - I really like this but won't be popular on mn where mainstream names are preferred. I think it's pretty.
Tabitha - lovely. I know a very glamorous Tabitha so have positive associations with it.
Eleanor - ok, pretty boring compared to other choices. Not sure where it's at popularity-wise now but Ellies are everywhere at the secondary school where I teach.
Madeleine - pretty, like it.
Vivienne - beautiful! My top choice from your list.
Matilda- it's nice but, again, a bit boring.
Eliza - OK. Not a huge fan.

Blursula · 26/04/2020 19:57

I love Tabitha, Madeleine and Matilda the most and Constance the least.

Peachbubble · 26/04/2020 20:53

Juliet - don't like
Jemima - love
Constance (Connie) - it's OK (would just use Connie)
Seraphina - don't like
Tabitha - love
Eleanor (Nora or Nell) - don't like, but do like Nell
Madeleine - don't like
Vivienne - it's OK, like nn Vivi better
Matilda - it's OK
Eliza - it's OK

Jossina · 26/04/2020 20:55

I like them all except Eliza, which is a nickname to me.

daisypond · 26/04/2020 21:44

Juliet - Ok
Jemima -nice
Constance (Connie) - like Constance, hate Connie.
Seraphina - a bit silly
Tabitha - OK but a bit worthy
Eleanor (Nora or Nell) - yes. Nell, not Nora.
Madeleine - yes
Vivienne - not spelled like this. Vivien - yes.
Matilda - yes, but popular.
Eliza - yes but Elizabeth is better.

zscaler · 26/04/2020 23:01

I think they’re all lovely except Seraphina which is a bit wet to my mind.

Mucklowe · 27/04/2020 12:26

Juliet - looks a bit unfinished, but pleasant enough
Jemima - horrible. Rheumy and whiney.
Constance (Connie) - nice
Seraphina - lovely
Tabitha - horrible. The "bith" part is too fussy and prissy.
Eleanor (Nora or Nell) - Eleanor, nicknamed Nell, yes. Eleanor, nicknamed Nora, no. Just Nora on its own is great.
Madeleine - McCann
Vivienne - blousy wench in a bar with smudged lipstick
Matilda - prissy/childish
Eliza - stunning

17caterpillars1mouse · 28/04/2020 15:57

Julie - I want to like it but I just can't for some reason
Jemima - not a fan
Constance (Connie) - love, considered it for dd2 but it was too similar to Dd1's name
Seraphina - nice, there is a little Seraphina at dds preschool
Tabitha - not a fan as I dislike Tabby. I like Talitha though
Eleanor (Nora or Nell) I prefer Eleanore or Eleanora but it's nice. I prefer Nora to Nell. I like Ella too
Madeleine - lovely though slightly prefer Madeline
Vivienne - lovely, classy
Matilda - I'm so bored of it, they are everywhere here
Eliza - pretty but prefer others on your list
