Are these good names?

I am hoping if I ever have kids, I will have twin girls, and I was just thinking about what I would name them. I was thinking Valentina and Florence, but I don't know if Valentina is too exotic compared to Florence. What do you think?

I think they’re both lovely.

However the problem I’d have is that Valentina would be shortened to Val or Tina. A bit dated.

Those two names go beautifully together, but I have to say in the nicest possible way that the chances of having twin girls is very slim, to be honest... But if you ever do, they are good names.

I suspect that the pairing would result in Valentina getting called Valencia by accident, and agree that the chances of you having twin girls is probably slim, especially if you have no twins in the family.

I don't know if it's me, but I seem to know many more male twins. I only know one mixed gender twins, four female sets of twins and can think of about 14 sets of boy twins. I wonder what the stats are?

Flo and Val aren't that nice really are they.

I used to know a Valentina, her family was originally from Greece. I really like it. She was only ever Valentina.

I don't like Florence. There were some in my family known as Flo which makes me think of menstruation. Also not a fan of place names.

Rochelle Humes has a Valentina and they call her Valle (pronounce valley) which I think is lovely! I don’t like Florence. It’s a bit frumpy to me.
