Classic, very sound!

Not the most 'out there' or original but a beautiful, timeless, elegant name nonetheless and one which will easily grow with your child from baby to adult.

@peachypetite Rose is a simple and beautiful one syllable name that people like. Some people like it. Just because you don't does not make it boring or bad.

I dislike and find really pretentious some of the more popular names that people are using at the moment (and think they are the only one!). But everyone has their own choices and I would never say something horrible about them.

It's a beautiful classic name with lots of potential cute nicknames. It's on my shortlist!

It's nice enough.. not particularly remarkable if I'm honest. Nice that she can be Lottie if she wasnt keen. If you really like it then go for it.

As a Charlotte, imo it's the best name anyone could pick for their baby girl. Grin Ignore all the meanies.

It had lots of nickname potential too. I go by Char, Charl, Charlie, Shallot (Spanish colleague struggled to pronounce Charlotte, I thought it hilarious so I rolled with it), as well as the full Charlotte. Never Lottie though, as I don't like it.

My middle name is Louise, which is my Mum's name. DD (whose name has been suggested as a middle name by a couple of PPs Grin) has my name as her middle name. Meant DH and I only had to pick one name.

Otherwise, if I had to choose a middle name for myself, I do like the floral/plant based names. Like:

Rose
Iris
Daisy
Holly
Lily
Willow
Violet
Poppy

It’s inoffensive and unremarkable, not the sort of thing I’d go for but it’s perfectly acceptable.

I’m not a Charlotte but I have a name that starts with the Shar sound.

I never liked being called Charlie, don’t mind Char but I’d quite like Lottie.

It’s a lovely name (Charlotte that is)
