Classy but unusual girls names?

HKCLARK · 09/04/2020 10:40

Morning!

I've got a few threads going asking for opinions on the names Lorelei, Aurelia, Romilly, Orea & Leonie however we've still not even come close to whittling down a list of names for our baby girl And she's due in May.

Does anyone have any new suggestions for a classy but unusual girls name?

Our surname is Clark.

Thanks!! ☺️

How about Aurora, nickname Rory?

I also like your suggestion of Aurelia, but suspect you might get into the question of pronunciation

Or - EE - lee - a versus OW - RAY - lee - a

Verity (‘truth’)
Oriana (‘sunrise’)
Brontë (‘thunder’)

I absolutely love the name Beatrice but it is incredibly popular where I live - I know loads of Beatrice / Beatrix named girls.

My daughters name has been mentioned several times which makes me happy as classy and slightly unusual was the exact vibe we were going for 😁

CruCru · 09/04/2020 15:46

I love Elizabeth (and only know adult ones) but I’m not sure if that’s the sort of thing the OP is looking for.

A a ( as in Ava Gardner the forties Hollywood film star. Nice and simple but classy and can't really be shortened. Plus, Ava Clarke sounds good too.
